📋 Description

• Join Vonage as a Software Engineering Leader / Tech Lead to drive innovation in cloud communications for global businesses, leading engineering tribes within the Data Services group that power core CPaaS platforms.
• Provide people leadership and technical direction while remaining hands-on in system design, architecture, and coding, setting standards for engineering excellence across multiple squads.
• Lead an engineering tribe responsible for data and billing pipelines that process high-volume real-time data, supporting legacy systems and greenfield initiatives with architectural challenges.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Director of Engineering, contributing to organizational transformation and shaping technology strategy.
• Own architecture and system design decisions across data-intensive services, mentor and grow engineers, ensure high-quality delivery, partner with Product on roadmap, serve as technical escalation point, and improve engineering practices organization-wide.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or Engineering Manager)
• Strong hands-on coding ability – comfortable writing and reviewing production code
• Experience balancing people leadership with technical contribution
• Strong understanding of architecture and distributed systems design
• Experience building data pipelines (real-time processing, transformations, high-volume systems)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms
