📋 Description

• Design and own the end-to-end solution architecture for a 12-week hypothesis-driven transformation of a North American supply chain relaunch, covering data ingestion, storage, model services, optimization logic, and user-facing applications.
• Define and oversee a secure, single-tenant cloud environment in AWS and/or Azure that meets strict requirements for security, access control, auditability, and data isolation.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering Lead to shape canonical data schemas, integration patterns, and transformation rules for unifying fragmented historical data sources including freight, order, inventory, and rate card systems.
• Architect the decision engine that integrates predictive models, business rules, and optimization solvers to produce clear, defensible, and operationally viable recommendations under real-world constraints.
• Establish non-functional requirements for performance, resilience, monitoring, deployment, rollback, and release readiness to ensure the platform transitions reliably from pilot validation to production use.
• Translate complex business requirements and operational logic into precise technical specifications, guiding Full Stack Engineers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and QA teams on trade-offs, sequencing, and implementation standards.
• Ensure all technical systems are auditable, deterministic, and traceable to meet regulatory and compliance expectations in highly regulated operational environments.
• Work within fast-paced, agile delivery cycles focused on rapid value proofing while avoiding technical debt and maintaining architectural integrity.
• Leverage AI-native workflows including LLM code assistants and agentic engineering tools to accelerate design iterations, improve code quality, and enhance architectural clarity.
• Integrate with legacy enterprise systems such as ERP, WMS, and CRM platforms in environments where source systems cannot be modified, requiring creative integration and abstraction strategies.
• Apply systems thinking to connect data pipelines, machine learning components, business logic layers, and operational interfaces into a unified, scalable, and secure solution.
• Demonstrate domain knowledge of supply chain operations including freight flows, inventory positioning, allocation logic, warehouse constraints, and the downstream financial impact of operational exceptions.
• Maintain a strong focus on operational sustainability by designing systems that reduce resource needs, improve efficiency, and enhance resilience through optimization.
• Lead technical cross-functional collaboration to transform a fragmented, legacy operational landscape into a streamlined, auditable, and scalable AI-powered system.
• Drive the technical blueprint that enables economic optimization and velocity in high-footprint industries including energy, real estate, and logistics.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Platform Architecture, or senior software engineering with a proven track record designing secure, production-grade enterprise systems
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying systems in AWS and/or Azure, including identity management, network segregation, secrets management, and secure environment configuration
• Strong working knowledge of Python-based services, APIs, PostgreSQL or similar data stores, and modern web application architectures
• Practical experience integrating with enterprise systems such as ERP, WMS, CRM, or logistics platforms in environments with unchangeable legacy source systems
• Previous experience working in supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or ERP-heavy operational environments with understanding of freight flows, inventory allocation, and warehouse constraints
• Proven ability to design auditable, deterministic, and traceable workflows in regulated environments where technical decisions must be explainable and reviewable
