• • As a Solutions Architect at Cloudera, you will be at the forefront of empowering businesses to harness the full potential of their data. You will work directly with our valued Israeli customers, guiding them through the successful implementation and strategic deployment of cutting-edge Big Data solutions powered by the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP). This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients derive exceptional business value from their investment in Cloudera's transformative technology, whether deployed on-premises or within cloud environments.
• • Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure Cloudera Data Platform architectures and configurations tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer. This involves a deep understanding of modern data architectures and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical, effective technical solutions.
• • You will be responsible for performing platform installations and upgrades, with a particular emphasis on advanced secured cluster configurations. This requires meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of security best practices within distributed systems.
• • A key aspect of your role will involve analyzing complex distributed production deployments. You will leverage your expertise to identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization, ensuring our customers' data platforms operate at peak efficiency.
• • You will be expected to clearly document and present intricate architectural designs and technical concepts to customer technical teams. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in an understandable and persuasive manner.
• • Collaboration is essential. You will work closely with various Cloudera teams, including sales, product, and engineering, at all levels to ensure the seamless success of project consulting engagements and to foster strong customer relationships.
• • You will play a crucial role in driving projects with customers from inception to successful completion, acting as a trusted advisor and technical leader throughout the engagement.
• • Contributing to Cloudera's knowledge base, you will write and produce high-quality technical documentation, insightful blog posts, and valuable knowledge-base articles, sharing your expertise with both internal teams and the broader community.
• • You will actively participate in the pre- and post-sales process, collaborating with sales and product teams to accurately interpret customer requirements and articulate how Cloudera's solutions can address their specific business challenges and opportunities.
• • Continuous learning is paramount. You will be expected to stay current with the rapidly evolving Big Data ecosystem and emerging technologies, ensuring that your knowledge and skills remain at the cutting edge.
• • In addition to your core technical responsibilities, you may be called upon to attend speaking engagements, representing Cloudera at industry events and sharing your insights with a wider audience.
• • This role requires a significant commitment to customer engagement, with the expectation of traveling up to 75% to customer sites, primarily within Israel, to facilitate on-site design, deployment, and support activities. Initially, you will focus on a new logo customer in Tel-Aviv, assisting them in designing and deploying their new modern data architecture, including the platform itself, the data architecture, and the business use cases to be deployed.
• • You will be instrumental in helping customers understand modern data architecture use cases and recommending standard design patterns that are commonly employed in such deployments. This includes a solid understanding of the data management ecosystem, encompassing concepts like data warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
• • Furthermore, you will leverage your knowledge of AI concepts and experience working with AI models to guide customers in integrating these advanced capabilities into their data strategies.
• • Your ability to translate high-level customer needs into detailed technical requirements will be critical for the successful design and implementation of solutions.
• • You will gain hands-on experience implementing data transformation and processing solutions, and designing data queries against data in HDFS environments using tools such as Apache Hive.
• • Setting up multi-node Cloudera Data Platform clusters and configuring security aspects like LDAP/AD and Kerberos/SPNEGO will be part of your daily responsibilities.
• • You will also be involved in architecting data center solutions, making informed decisions on server and storage hardware selection based on performance, availability, and ROI requirements, while possessing a strong understanding of network configurations, devices, protocols, speeds, and optimizations.
• • Your expertise in the Java ecosystem, including debugging, logging, monitoring, and profiling tools, will be valuable, as will your familiarity with scripting tools like bash, Python, or Perl, and automation tooling such as Ansible or Terraform.
