📋 Description

• The Solutions Engineer is a critical member of the Product team at Janes Information Services Limited, responsible for enabling the integration and optimization of Janes interconnected intelligence capabilities across the customer base. This role is vital to national security and defence capability, as it supports the deployment, configuration, and enhancement of Janes data across systems, platforms, and mission-critical environments, directly impacting decision-making in defence, government, and industry sectors.
• Day to day, the Solutions Engineer will support the integration of Janes data and models into customer systems of record, assist in the development and delivery of Janes Interconnected Intelligence products, provide remote and on-site technical advisory services to customers, advise on the evolution of Janes data models and ontologies, identify and prioritize unmet data requirements, explore adjacent content domains for expansion, monitor partner and competitor activity, and support technical presales engagements and bid responses with solution design input.
• Janes equips defence, government, and industry leaders with objective, accurate, and shareable data and analysis, combining advanced technology with proven tradecraft to deliver validated and contextual intelligence. The company delivers intelligence with flexibility to fuse it with multiple sources, enrich AI solutions, or access it through its portal, serving customers across Europe and NATO with a focus on mission success and innovation.
• In this role, the individual will contribute to high-impact customer and partner projects, help shape the future of Janes technical estate—including its graph knowledgebase, intelligence products, and supporting infrastructure—and gain deep expertise in data integration, system interoperability, ontology development, and defence sector technologies, while advancing their ability to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficient in Python, including SDKs, APIs, and data engineering best practices
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: ArcGIS, Palantir, RDBMS, or Graph Databases
• Understanding of data models and/or ontologies
• Experience in data integration, system interoperability, or technical advisory roles—preferably within defence and intelligence sectors
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Eligibility to hold security clearance, including willingness to undergo the clearance process with company sponsorship if not already cleared
