Solution Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• • Lead and manage a high-performing team of Solution Engineers based in Germany to drive SailPoint’s business growth in the Identity Governance market.
• • Hire, coach, and develop Solution Engineers to ensure consistent performance against assigned goals and regional sales targets.
• • Monitor and improve individual and team performance through structured feedback, accountability measures, and performance interventions.
• • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and management consulting skills to influence technical and business stakeholders across customer organizations.
• • Enhance SailPoint’s sales methodology by developing tailored product demonstrations, presentations, and messaging aligned with partner requirements and audience expertise levels.
• • Identify gaps in training needs within the Solution Engineering team and design/implement targeted programs to strengthen sales, product, and technical competencies.
• • Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Directors on account planning, strategic opportunities, and sales call execution to align engineering support with revenue goals.
• • Provide timely, actionable feedback to corporate functions including Product Management, Marketing, and Field Sales to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.
• • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal product teams and external decision-makers to ensure alignment on customer needs and technical capabilities.
• • Support the broader Solution Engineering and leadership team by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and participating in internal training and development initiatives.
• • Engage in domestic and international travel on a flexible basis to support customer engagements, sales activities, and team collaboration.
• • Communicate the value of SailPoint’s AI-driven identity security platform to both technical experts and senior business executives with clarity and impact.
• • Foster a culture of innovation, integrity, impact, and individual contribution aligned with SailPoint’s core values.
• • Embrace a growth mindset by continuously learning new technologies, market trends, and sales techniques to stay ahead in the Identity Security space.
• • Work in a fully remote capacity while being based in Germany and operating within German business hours and regulatory frameworks.
• • Contribute to the onboarding and development of new Solution Engineering Managers through structured 30/60/90/365-day success plans.
• • Deliver insights that bridge technical product capabilities with business outcomes to accelerate customer adoption and revenue conversion.
• • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English to effectively engage with local and global stakeholders.
