- • The Solutions Architect (Applied Engineer) role at Deepgram is a support-focused position that directly engages with customers to solve complex technical challenges while building scalable solutions to enhance support infrastructure, playing a crucial role in ensuring exceptional technical assistance throughout the customer journey.
- • Day to day, the person will own complete post-sales customer engagements, lead technical resolution of complex support issues as an escalation point, design and implement systematic improvements to support processes, create automated solutions and self-service tools, analyze support ticket patterns for product insights, develop technical documentation, collaborate with product and engineering teams to advocate for customer needs, partner with the broader Applied Engineering team, and occasionally assist with implementation and pre-sales activities.
- • Deepgram is the leading platform powering the Voice AI economy, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice agents at scale, trusted by over 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations including Twilio, Cloudflare, and Jack in the Box, backed by a recent Series C and having processed over 50,000 years of audio and transcribed more than 1 trillion words.
- • The person can learn and achieve deep expertise in voice AI technologies, grow into broader implementation and pre-sales roles, influence customer support strategy and product roadmap, develop automation and self-service solutions at scale, and master the application of AI-first principles in a fast-paced, innovative environment where AI use is core to operations and performance measurement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in technical support, solutions engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles
- • Strong software engineering background with professional development experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, C/C++, or similar languages
- • Experience developing automation solutions and improving technical processes
- • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
