Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire data evaluation lifecycle for every new business opportunity in your territory—whether it’s a fresh logo or an expansion deal—ensuring prospects walk away convinced that PDL’s data is the single source of truth they need to power recruiting platforms, AI models, and custom audiences at scale.
- • Serve as the primary technical translator between PDL’s engineering-grade data stack and buyers who range from first-time data purchasers to Fortune-500 architects; you’ll turn cryptic API responses, nested JSON, and billion-row datasets into crisp narratives that non-technical stakeholders can champion internally.
- • Architect and run proof-of-concepts that mirror each customer’s production environment—spinning up Python notebooks, SQL warehouses, and REST integrations—then benchmark PDL data against their incumbent sources to quantify lift in match rates, coverage, and compliance posture.
- • Triage and resolve escalated support tickets that outrun the skill set of our Customer Success team; you’ll dive into log files, trace API latency, and patch data-delivery scripts so customers stay live and loyal.
- • Distill every customer interaction into actionable feedback loops for product, engineering, and data science; your field notes directly influence roadmap priorities, schema improvements, and new API endpoints.
- • Co-author white-papers, speak at webinars, and represent PDL at industry meetups, cementing yourself as the external face of technical thought leadership while mentoring junior SEs and AEs on data storytelling.
- • Collaborate daily with revenue leadership to refine pricing models, craft ROI calculators, and build battle cards that shorten sales cycles and increase win rates against entrenched competitors.
- • Champion a culture of extreme ownership—when something breaks at 2 a.m. for a prospect in APAC, you’re the first to volunteer a fix, and when a teammate needs a second pair of eyes on a gnarly query, you jump on a Zoom without hesitation.
- • Continuously level-up your own toolkit: benchmark new Elasticsearch features, stress-test Redshift vs. BigQuery cost curves, and prototype Kibana dashboards that turn raw logs into executive-friendly KPIs.
- • Protect and promote PDL’s reputation for compliant, ethical data sourcing; you’ll audit customer use cases against GDPR, CCPA, and emerging state laws, ensuring every deal we sign today is still defensible five years from now.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or Post-Sales Engineer) with a track record of closing or expanding data-centric or API-heavy SaaS deals.
- • Expert-level fluency in Python and SQL; you can write performant joins across billion-row tables, debug Pandas memory explosions, and optimize Airflow DAGs without breaking a sweat.
- • Demonstrated ability to design and document RESTful integrations—understanding auth flows, rate limits, pagination, and error handling deeply enough to coach customer developers through production deployments.
- • Proven history of translating complex technical concepts into crisp business value for both engineers and budget holders; your slide decks and demo scripts have directly influenced six-figure purchasing decisions.
- • Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Redshift, MongoDB, or similar big-data stores; familiarity with AWS, Kibana KQL, and log-analysis tooling; prior work in the DaaS, AdTech, HR Tech, or AI/ML space.
🏖️ Benefits
- • $150K base + $30K variable = $180K OTE with uncapped accelerators once quota is exceeded.
- • Permanent remote-first culture—work from your home office, a beach in Bali, or a co-working hub in Berlin; we care about outcomes, not time zones.
- • Unlimited PTO plus a quarterly “recharge week” where the entire company shuts down to prevent burnout and guarantee true downtime.
- • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and 75% for dependents, plus annual health, fitness, and home-office stipends to keep your setup ergonomic and your body moving.
