- • Support the SEC ISS contract by translating enterprise mission and operational needs into secure, scalable, and supportable technology solutions.
- • Lead solution engineering activities including architecture design, engineering design, proof-of-concept execution, pilot validation, and technical recommendations aligned to OIT priorities.
- • Perform day-to-day solution engineering to identify technologies that meet SEC enterprise requirements by mapping functional, operational, and business needs to technical requirements and design criteria.
- • Develop architecture and engineering approaches that align with SEC infrastructure, security, and operational objectives in compliance with federal standards.
- • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and supportable within enterprise environments.
- • Plan, execute, and document proof-of-concept efforts to validate candidate technologies against defined mission and operational use cases.
- • Conduct technical demonstrations and pilots to evaluate solution suitability, defining success criteria, test scenarios, and evaluation metrics for each activity.
- • Summarize pilot findings, limitations, and implementation readiness to support leadership decision-making.
- • Evaluate tradeoffs between competing technical solutions using quantitative, criteria-based methods to assess cost, risk, performance, security, and operational impact.
- • Produce formal Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) artifacts and recommendation papers that document methods, alternatives considered, and rationale for selected options.
- • Identify follow-on engineering tasks, dependencies, and additional analysis required before full implementation of recommended solutions.
- • Produce clear technical documentation for architecture options, engineering results, pilot outcomes, and recommendations with full traceability from requirements to implementation.
- • Present findings and recommendations to SEC stakeholders and governance forums to support informed technology decisions.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned and updating supporting documentation for enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- • Participate in on-call or surge support activities as required by operational needs.
- • Travel as required per contract direction to support mission-critical engagements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for work authorization under contract requirements
- • Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust clearance (or higher if required)
- • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- • 8+ years of experience providing business solutions engineering support in enterprise IT environments
- • Proven experience in architectural design, engineering design, proof-of-concept development, pilot execution, and documentation of technical recommendations
- • Demonstrated ability to map functional requirements to technical requirements and produce formal recommendation artifacts

- • Pay range of $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
