- • The Ads Solutions Engineer role at OpenAI is critical to driving revenue growth by serving as the technical bridge between advertisers and the company’s advertising platform, ensuring solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with client needs while upholding platform integrity and user trust.
- • Day to day, the person will partner with Client Partners during sales cycles to provide technical expertise, lead technical discovery with advertisers to assess data flows and martech stacks, design implementation approaches for pixels, APIs, and server-to-server integrations, guide advertisers through onboarding and launch readiness, troubleshoot implementation and measurement issues, build demos and proofs of concept, collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities, create scalable documentation and playbooks, and train internal teams on technical capabilities.
- • The Ads Solutions team works closely with sales, product, engineering, policy, and operations to remove technical blockers, accelerate deal closure, and shape the future of OpenAI’s ads platform, all while maintaining strong standards for user trust and platform integrity in support of OpenAI’s mission to ensure responsible AI adoption.
- • In this role, the person will develop deep expertise in digital advertising technology, influence product direction based on real-world customer needs, build repeatable processes for global advertiser adoption, strengthen cross-functional collaboration skills, and grow as a trusted technical advisor capable of translating complex concepts for both technical and executive audiences.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, adtech, martech, or a related client-facing technical role
- • Hands-on experience with digital advertising measurement, pixels, conversion APIs, mobile measurement, identity solutions, or CRM/data integrations
- • Understanding of advertiser ecosystems including tag managers, CDPs, analytics tools, attribution platforms, and data warehouses
- • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders
- • Experience writing SQL, using APIs, debugging implementation issues, or working with structured datasets
- • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and helping build processes from scratch
