Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full customer lifecycle for digital engineering adoption: from discovery workshops that surface pain points in CAD/CFD/FEM workflows to hands-on deployment of Istari’s model-sharing platform inside classified customer environments.
- • Embed on-site with defense and aerospace engineering teams in Huntsville, AL, acting as the single point of contact who translates mission objectives into concrete software and simulation solutions.
- • Rapidly prototype integrations between customer legacy tool-chains (CATIA, ANSYS, NASTRAN, Simulink) and Istari’s cloud-native APIs, using Kubernetes, GitOps, and modern CI/CD to ensure security, repeatability, and performance at scale.
- • Deliver tailored training sessions, lunch-and-learns, and written playbooks that upskill customer engineers in best-practice digital engineering, reducing model hand-off times by 30-50 % within the first quarter.
- • Troubleshoot real-time simulation bottlenecks, license conflicts, and data-format incompatibilities; document root-cause analyses and feed lessons back into the core product roadmap.
- • Collaborate with Istari’s internal engineering squads in Cambridge, MA via weekly architecture reviews, providing field intelligence that shapes new features such as multi-level security tagging and GPU-accelerated solvers.
- • Author concise, high-impact technical proposals in response to government RFPs, clearly articulating ROI, technical risk, and integration timelines to win follow-on contracts worth $1-10 M.
- • Maintain strict compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements (STIG, RMF, NIST 800-171) while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a zero-trust network.
- • Champion a culture of continual curiosity: run internal brown-bag sessions on emerging tools (e.g., PyTorch-based surrogate modeling, OpenUSD for 3D interoperability) and publish blog posts that position Istari as a thought leader.
- • Travel up to 25 % to customer sites across the southeastern U.S., ensuring face-to-face trust building that accelerates adoption and surfaces tacit requirements impossible to capture over video calls.
- • Instrument customer usage telemetry to generate data-driven insights on feature adoption, enabling product managers to prioritize the roadmap and quantify customer success KPIs.
- • Mentor junior engineers and interns, pairing with them on pull requests, design reviews, and customer demos to cultivate the next generation of digital engineering talent.
- • Contribute to open-source initiatives that align with Istari’s mission, increasing community goodwill and reducing long-term maintenance burden through shared libraries.
