- • As a SOX Auditor - IT Controls Manager at Kraken, you will lead the independent testing of IT general and application controls within a crypto exchange environment, ensuring the reliability of financial reporting and supporting the Audit Committee, external auditors, and regulators.
- • Day to day, you will execute ITGC SOX controls testing across access management, change management, and system operations; validate remediation of SOX findings; engage with IT, engineering, and security stakeholders; and build scalable testing programs using AI and data analytics to improve efficiency.
- • You will join Kraken’s Integrated Assurance team within Risk & Audit, a mission-driven, fully remote organization with team members in 70+ countries, dedicated to advancing global crypto adoption through industry-leading security, compliance, and innovation in digital asset custody and trading platforms.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in SOX compliance within complex, rapidly evolving blockchain-native infrastructure, develop leadership in IT audit program ownership, and contribute to building a technology-forward assurance function at the forefront of financial and crypto innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in IT audit, internal audit, external audit, or SOX compliance with significant exposure to IT general controls testing
- • CISA and CPA certifications required (candidates with one certification actively pursuing the other will be considered)
- • Experience in crypto, fintech, payments, or technology-intensive environments with complex, rapidly evolving infrastructure
- • Hands-on experience testing ITGCs across access management, change management, and system operations
- • Strong knowledge of ITGC frameworks, SOX compliance requirements, COSO, COBIT, and PCAOB auditing standards as they apply to IT controls
