  • • Serve as a Spain-qualified Support Lawyer providing paralegal support to Linklaters’ Transactional team from a UK-based location, focusing on Real Estate, Banking, or Capital Markets transactions.
  • • Coordinate transaction activities by liaising directly with clients, legal teams, and third parties to ensure timely and efficient execution of mandates.
  • • Proactively manage document checklists, track compliance deadlines, and act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in ongoing transactions.
  • • Assist in due diligence processes, including the preparation and maintenance of transaction bibles and accurate record management, with emphasis on pre-completion documentation rather than post-completion administration.
  • • Oversee completion processes for transactions, ensuring all required documentation is properly compiled, verified, and archived in accordance with firm standards.
  • • Respond to client and internal queries regarding transaction documentation, providing clear and timely clarification to support seamless deal delivery.
  • • Deliver regular, structured updates on transaction progress, including anticipated next steps, potential risks, and timeline adjustments.
  • • Work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of assigned projects and demonstrating initiative in identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks.
  • • Maintain a meticulous focus on accuracy, detail, and efficiency in all documentation and communication tasks.
  • • Operate under a contract for services through Linklaters’ preferred third-party provider; this is not an employment role with Linklaters LLP.
  • • This is a part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time based on workload and business needs.
  • • Support multiple practice groups in Madrid while based remotely in the UK, requiring strong cross-jurisdictional coordination and cultural awareness.
  • • Adapt to evolving priorities and undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the Transactional team’s objectives.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Spain-qualified Support Lawyer
  • • 1+ years of experience in Real Estate, Banking, or Capital Markets
  • • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and pragmatic approach
  • • Strong commercial judgement and confidence in asking questions where needed
  • • Ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal supervision
  • • A thorough and proactive approach with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficient delivery
