📋 Description
- • The Specialist, Workforce Development, Grants Administration supports the Foundation for California Community Colleges’ mission to strengthen the California Community Colleges system by ensuring learners gain the skills and resources needed for meaningful work and economic mobility, with a focus on administering grants that fund workforce development initiatives across the state.
- • Day to day, the Specialist will oversee awardees and projects by negotiating contract scopes and budgets, reviewing invoices, monitoring fiscal and program compliance, providing one-on-one support, leading program reporting and award management activities, tracking KPIs, summarizing data, and coordinating funding application processes in collaboration with senior staff.
- • The Foundation for California Community Colleges is a mission-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the largest and most diverse higher education system in the nation, working to expand pathways to economic and social mobility by connecting students and colleges with critical resources and fostering innovation, collaboration, and equity in workforce development.
- • In this role, the person will develop expertise in grants administration within the public education and workforce development sectors, strengthen project management and stakeholder communication skills, gain deep familiarity with California’s state and federal funding systems, and contribute to impactful initiatives that support thousands of learners and employers across the North Far North region and beyond.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience with Excel required
- • Experience with grants administration from a funder's perspective
- • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, good driving record, automobile insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle is required
- • Experience with project and client management software (e.g., Asana, Salesforce) preferred
- • Experience with the California Community College system and/or Workforce Development preferred
- • Familiarity with state and federal funding
