📋 Description
- • The Sr. AI & Data Scientist at Alignment Healthcare will architect and deliver high-impact AI/ML solutions on the company’s proprietary clinical intelligence platform, directly contributing to improved health outcomes for Medicare Advantage members by solving complex, ambiguous problems from discovery to production deployment.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing end-to-end ML systems for risk stratification and clinical decision support, owning the full ML lifecycle from experimentation to monitoring, driving technical excellence through research and best practices, partnering with product and clinical leaders to align AI initiatives with business strategy, and mentoring junior data scientists via code reviews and knowledge sharing.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5-8 years delivering production-grade data science or ML solutions with demonstrated business impact
- • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field
- • Expert-level proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, or PySpark with emphasis on production-grade, maintainable code
- • Deep understanding of healthcare data (claims, clinical, member) and Medicare Advantage operations
- • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring data scientists
- • Advanced ML expertise including ensemble methods, deep learning, NLP, LLMs, and computer vision
