• • As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer at Assurant, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and administering cutting-edge continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) solutions for applications and software across the dynamic Digital Connected Living platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping new technology infrastructures, ensuring the robust maintenance of software configurations, and driving the evolution of automation tools and processes.
• • You will play a pivotal role in enabling the automation of configuration management for all environments, including development, quality assurance, user acceptance, pre-production, and production services. This includes the automation of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) services, ensuring seamless and efficient software delivery.
• • A key responsibility will be recommending and implementing strategic software deployment approaches that empower DevOps engineers to successfully deploy software and services across any environment. You will be responsible for the continuous updating of configuration management tools, code, and modules, with the overarching goal of streamlining implementation processes and enhancing supportability.
• • Your design and development contributions will focus on building and optimizing comprehensive automation systems that operate seamlessly across all lines of business at Assurant. This involves implementing advanced scaling strategies and developing sophisticated automation scripts and solutions designed to streamline, implement, and rigorously test software-based technology services.
• • You will be a driving force behind the development of self-service solutions tailored for engineering departments, enabling them to deliver software-based technology services with exceptional speed and unwavering quality. Furthermore, you will provide critical input into the architecture and technical leadership of the entire DevOps infrastructure, shaping its future direction and capabilities.
• • This role is inherently collaborative, requiring you to actively assist more junior members of various engineering teams in effectively utilizing technologies for software development, software testing, service provisioning, and service management. You will champion the adoption of reusable tools and patterns, such as standardized code libraries and efficient CI/CD pipeline tasks, fostering a culture of shared knowledge and efficiency.
• • You will provide essential support to engineering teams throughout the implementation and lifecycle management of infrastructure solutions. This includes ensuring the creation and maintenance of operational documentation that adheres to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
• • Staying ahead of the curve is paramount. You will be tasked with continuously researching, testing, and implementing new metrics collection systems that can be effectively reused and applied to software-based technology services and application development projects. Your role is envisioned as a practitioner of emerging and transformational technologies and innovative ways of working, driving continuous improvement within the DevOps domain.
• • You will conduct training sessions for staff engineers and other engineering teams, imparting knowledge on building software-defined and code-driven processes.
