📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs in Go to support SigNoz’s SaaS platform, focusing on billing, revenue operations, caching, and agent collectors.
• Build and maintain petabyte-scale data ingestion pipelines that remain robust during traffic bursts while ensuring data freshness and low latency.
• Develop and optimize core infrastructure components for auto-scalability in a cloud-native SaaS environment, including staging environments and distributed system resilience.
• Lead the creation of a marketplace of integrations—designing patterns, templates, and tooling that enable the community to seamlessly integrate SigNoz into their observability stacks.
• Collaborate with a high-caliber remote-first engineering team to ship high-impact features with end-to-end ownership—from problem identification and system design to implementation and rollout.
• Improve and extend the platform’s authentication and RBAC systems to support enterprise-grade access controls across self-hosted and cloud deployments.
• Optimize caching strategies and backend performance for global users, ensuring consistent responsiveness under heavy load.
• Contribute to open-source observability tooling by enhancing SigNoz’s core platform, which is used by 700+ customers and has 26,000+ GitHub stars.
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code with comprehensive technical documentation that explains system design, trade-offs, and operational guidelines.
• Work directly on infrastructure critical to the company’s revenue and operational model, including billing systems and usage-based telemetry pipelines.
• Participate in architectural reviews and code standards discussions to elevate the quality and scalability of the platform team’s output.
• Drive initiatives that reduce operational overhead through automation, including deployment pipelines, monitoring of platform health, and incident response workflows.
• Engage with the SigNoz community of 7,000+ Slack members to understand real-world usage challenges and translate them into platform improvements.
• Maintain and evolve backend systems built on OpenTelemetry, ensuring compatibility and performance across diverse client environments.
• Balance rapid iteration with long-term system stability, ensuring platform components are both innovative and production-ready.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in Go (Golang)
• Strong understanding of concurrency, locks, channels, and performance optimization in Go
• Proven experience building distributed systems with clean, scalable code
• Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives end-to-end: from problem discovery to rollout
• Comfort working in a high-ownership, remote-first, fast-moving environment
• Strong written communication skills for documenting technical decisions and trade-offs
