This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting Illumio’s global Go-to-Market (GTM) teams and providing comprehensive cross-functional legal support. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be the primary commercial attorney for the Americas West and APAC regions, playing a crucial role in shaping the company's legal strategy and operational resilience.
- • As a key member of the Legal department, you will embody the team's vision of upholding the highest standards of legal excellence while actively supporting Illumio's mission as the leader in Zero Trust Segmentation. You will forge strong, collaborative business partnerships with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Channels, and Customer Success, architecting scalable legal infrastructure to support the company's rapid global expansion. Your expertise will be vital in crafting innovative legal solutions that ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk in a fast-paced technology environment.
- • This position offers significant visibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Illumio's continued growth and success. You will be at the forefront of negotiating complex enterprise SaaS and software agreements, working in close partnership with Sales and other revenue-generating teams to close deals efficiently and effectively. Your negotiation skills will be critical in securing favorable terms and protecting Illumio's interests.
- • You will lead the commercial legal support for the West Coast, Central, Canada, and APAC regions. This includes a broad spectrum of agreements, such as enterprise, channel partner, OEM, and strategic partner agreements. - • Furthermore, you will partner with field operations to streamline negotiation workflows, reduce customer acquisition costs, and ultimately enhance overall customer success. This requires a practical, risk-balanced approach to negotiating complex technology transactions, ensuring that agreements are both legally sound and commercially viable.
- • Beyond core commercial contracting, you will provide essential support in secondary legal practice areas. This versatility is key, as you will contribute to areas such as Employment law, Product development, Data Privacy, Intellectual Property (IP), and general Corporate matters. Your willingness to take on diverse legal challenges, regardless of size or complexity, will be highly valued.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data privacy and security principles, with the ability to apply them directly to commercial contracts. Experience with various channel partner structures, including distributors, resellers, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), is also highly desirable. You will be expected to demonstrate a hands-on, efficient deal-closing approach, maintaining meticulous attention to detail while always keeping the broader strategic picture in focus.
- • This role requires comfort and experience working across multiple international regions, including APAC, Australia, and Canada. You will also be expected to support customers operating in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and the public sector, understanding their unique compliance requirements.
- • Illumio is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where unique backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints drive success. We believe in creating a culture of belonging and are dedicated to maintaining an equitable workplace.
