- • The Symicor Group, a distinguished boutique talent acquisition firm with a national footprint, is partnering with a leading financial institution to identify a highly skilled and motivated Senior Credit Analyst. This is a remote opportunity, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States, with a competitive salary of up to $105,000, commensurate with experience. As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in assessing the creditworthiness of potential borrowers, managing risk, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This position demands a meticulous approach to financial analysis, a deep understanding of credit principles, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.
- • In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis of loan applications, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documentation. You will evaluate the financial capacity of individuals and businesses to repay debt, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate credit structures and terms. Your analysis will directly inform lending decisions, ensuring that the institution maintains a strong and healthy loan portfolio.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve developing and presenting detailed credit reports and recommendations to loan committees and senior management. These reports will synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights, highlighting key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) related to each credit request. You will need to articulate your findings persuasively, defending your recommendations with robust analytical evidence and a thorough understanding of market conditions and industry trends.
- • You will also be tasked with monitoring existing loan portfolios, proactively identifying potential credit deterioration, and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate risk. This includes performing periodic reviews of borrower financial performance, covenant compliance, and collateral valuations. Your vigilance in this area is crucial for maintaining portfolio quality and minimizing potential losses.
- • Collaboration will be a key component of this position. You will work closely with loan officers, relationship managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information, understand client needs, and ensure a smooth and efficient loan approval process. Your ability to build strong working relationships and provide expert credit guidance will be highly valued.
- • Furthermore, you will stay abreast of evolving credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will contribute to the refinement of credit underwriting standards and procedures, ensuring that the institution remains compliant and competitive in the dynamic financial landscape. This may involve participating in internal audits, training junior analysts, or contributing to the development of new credit products.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. You should be adept at using financial modeling tools and software to perform complex calculations and projections. A proactive and results-oriented approach is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a reputable financial institution. You will be instrumental in driving sound lending practices, supporting business growth, and safeguarding the company's financial stability. Your expertise will be recognized and rewarded, providing a clear path for professional development and career advancement within the organization.
- • We are seeking an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to explain intricate financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is paramount. You will be a trusted advisor, providing critical insights that shape strategic decisions and contribute to the long-term success of the company.
- • This position requires a commitment to ethical conduct and a strong understanding of risk management principles. You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all your dealings. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the continued strength and profitability of the lending portfolio.
- • The remote nature of this role allows for unparalleled flexibility, enabling you to achieve a healthy work-life balance while contributing to a high-performing team. You will have the autonomy to manage your workload and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different locations. This is an exciting chance to join a forward-thinking organization that values its employees and invests in their success.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis within a banking, financial services, or corporate finance environment.
- • Proven ability to conduct in-depth financial statement analysis, including cash flow analysis, ratio analysis, and trend analysis, for both commercial and individual borrowers.
- • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies, loan structuring, collateral evaluation, and loan documentation.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive credit reports and present findings to various stakeholders.
- • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software (e.g., Excel, Moody's, Argus) and experience with loan origination and servicing systems.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary up to $105,000, based on experience and qualifications.
- • Fully remote work arrangement, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
