- • As a Senior Data Engineer at Quantiphi, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power analytics, insights, and business decision-making for Fortune 500 clients across industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, and Manufacturing. Your work will directly enable data-driven transformation by leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and AI accelerators to solve complex business problems at unprecedented speed.
- • You will define and own the end-to-end data architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on BigQuery and Cloud Composer, ensuring robust ingestion, storage, transformation, and analytics capabilities for structured and semi-structured insurance data from Guidewire systems (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter). This includes establishing data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks to ensure transparency, compliance, and reliability across enterprise data ecosystems.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing data modeling frameworks, collaborating with Business Analysts to translate Guidewire requirements into conceptual and logical data models, overseeing physical schema definition, and architecting ELT pipelines across staging, raw, curated, and analytics layers. You will also review and optimize BigQuery structures through partitioning, clustering, query tuning, and storage tiering, while defining security models (IAM/RLS), naming conventions, and access control standards.
- • You will provide architectural direction and mentorship to Data Engineering Leads, Data Modelers, and Data Engineers, partnering with enterprise security and infrastructure teams to maintain compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA. Your leadership will ensure alignment with cloud best practices for scalability, cost optimization, and maintainability across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in data architecture/design with at least 6+ years hands-on experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- • Deep expertise in Google BigQuery data warehouse design, performance tuning, partitioning, clustering, and query optimization
- • Strong working knowledge of Cloud Composer (Airflow) for orchestrating batch and streaming data pipelines
- • Solid understanding of insurance data structures, preferably from Guidewire systems (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter)
- • Hands-on proficiency in SQL and schema design for analytical environments, including star and snowflake modeling
- • Experience architecting enterprise-grade ELT frameworks and multi-layered data architectures (staging → raw → curated → analytics)
- • Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- • Ability to lead technical teams and guide design decisions with both functional and technical stakeholders
