Sr Data Protection Engineer

📋 Description

• • The Senior Data Protection Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing enterprise security solutions to protect Republic Services’ sensitive data across devices and environments, playing a key role in evolving the Sensitive Data Management program.
• • Day to day, the engineer will architect and support technology solutions using DLP, CASB, database monitoring, and encryption; mentor DLP analysts; manage DLP policies; draft technical documentation; lead incident response at Level 3/4; and collaborate with senior leadership on data protection strategy and metrics.
• • The role sits within Republic Services’ Cybersecurity Team, which is committed to securing information anywhere, on any device, and at all times, fostering a culture of security through passion, relentlessness, and resourcefulness.
