- • Manage end-to-end processing of vendor invoices and payments related to delinquency and default servicing, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and investor guidelines including Freddie Mac, FNMA, FHA, VA, and RHS.
- • Verify invoice accuracy by confirming all expenses align with allowable expense schedules from investors, insurers, and agencies, and map each transaction to the correct expense code and accounting account.
- • Record, classify, and reconcile all financial transactions associated with invoice payments, maintaining accurate documentation for audit readiness and compliance.
- • Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues by collaborating with internal departments and third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution and proper documentation.
- • Issue, track, and monitor billbacks to vendors for expenses exceeding allowable limits, ensuring recoveries are properly documented and processed.
- • Oversee offshore vendor performance by monitoring task completion, enforcing deadlines, and issuing vendor scorecards based on accuracy and timeliness metrics.
- • Reconcile corporate advance data files received from prior servicers, ensuring all transactions are accurately mapped to the correct loans and supported by valid invoices and backup documentation.
- • Coordinate with onboarding and offboarding teams to ensure complete receipt and proper mapping of corporate advances during loan acquisitions and transfers.
- • Reconcile corporate advance balances for offboarding loans and deliver precise lists of outstanding advances to the offboarding team for final settlement.
- • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define system requirements for automating invoice management and corporate advance workflows, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
- • Facilitate timely responses to all audit requests, client inquiries, and regulatory findings related to invoice and corporate advance documentation.
- • Prepare and distribute monthly MBR reports and trending analyses to support internal decision-making and compliance oversight.
- • Escalate compliance issues, process failures, or systemic risks promptly to management and relevant stakeholders to mitigate exposure and maintain regulatory adherence.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external servicers to map corporate advances into Valon’s system of record during loan acquisitions, ensuring data integrity.
- • Serve as a subject matter expert on invoice and corporate advance procedures, providing guidance to team members and stakeholders on policy interpretation and operational best practices.
- • Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation to ensure full audit trail compliance and regulatory readiness.
- • Identify process inefficiencies and propose enhancements to streamline invoice processing, corporate advance reconciliation, and vendor management workflows.
- • Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and investor-mandated regulatory requirements governing default servicing and financial reporting.
- • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve complex financial discrepancies and deliver accurate reporting.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in invoice management, corporate advance management, or default accounting
- • Experience developing and managing complex processes with multiple stakeholders
- • Strong Excel or Google Sheets experience, including V-lookup
- • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- • Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
