Sr Detection Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Senior Detection Engineer at Pluralsight, you will serve as the architect of the company’s security detection capabilities, designing and maintaining high-fidelity alerting systems that enable the Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect and respond to threats effectively. Your work directly strengthens the organization’s security posture by turning detection into a disciplined engineering practice.
• • Day to day, you will design, develop, and tune detection rules using the MITRE ATT&CK framework, onboard new data sources into the SIEM, validate alert fidelity, and provide Tier 3 operational support by leading deep-dive investigations for complex security incidents. You will also collaborate with MDR partners and infrastructure teams to ensure log ingestion health, data quality, and compliance with retention policies.
• • You will join Pluralsight’s Security Engineering & Operations team, a mission-driven group focused on protecting the technology workforce development platform that enables global organizations to build better products through continuous learning and skill advancement. The team values collaboration, technical excellence, and proactive threat detection.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in detection-as-code, SIEM architecture, adversarial emulation, and cloud security telemetry while gaining influence over enterprise-wide security detection strategy and contributing to the maturation of a 24/7 SOC with high-fidelity alerting capabilities.
