📋 Description

• As a Senior Developer in Quality Engineering at Truetandem, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining scalable backend APIs that power content delivery systems for both internal stakeholders and public-facing consumer products, directly enabling the company’s mission to deliver innovative, cost-effective technology solutions to major enterprises, nonprofits, and federal agencies.
• You will design, develop, and deploy high-performance backend APIs in Golang that serve content to front-end teams and ultimately reach millions of readers, ensuring reliability, fault tolerance, and high availability through modern cloud-native architectures.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include automating infrastructure workflows, containerizing applications with Docker, orchestrating deployments via Kubernetes, and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision, configure, and monitor cloud resources efficiently.
• You will actively leverage leading public cloud providers’ native tools and services to optimize application performance, reduce operational overhead, and enhance scalability while continuously exploring emerging tools and techniques to improve cost efficiency, deployment velocity, and resource utilization.
• A key part of your role involves reviewing pull requests not only for code quality but also as mentorship opportunities to uplift junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the team.
• You will participate in Agile ceremonies with a two-week sprint cadence, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement to ensure alignment with product goals and timely delivery of features.
• You will share operational responsibility by participating in the team’s on-call rotation, providing timely incident response and post-mortem analysis to maintain system reliability and service uptime.
• You will help define, refine, and advocate for observability best practices—including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting—using tools like Elasticsearch to ensure proactive detection and resolution of issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Beyond technical execution, you will contribute to a collaborative, learning-oriented environment where challenging the status quo, experimenting with AI-enhanced workflows, and continuous skill development are encouraged and rewarded.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Golang for building backend services and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments, including cluster management and scaling.
• Proven ability to design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools to provision and manage cloud resources reliably.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and leveraging their native services for compute, storage, networking, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch or similar search/analytics engines for logging, monitoring, and observability use cases.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers through code reviews, technical guidance, and fostering engineering best practices in a collaborative team setting.
