• • AnaVation LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA. This is a critical on-site role where you will be instrumental in designing, deploying, testing, certifying, operating, and maintaining cutting-edge DevSecOps infrastructure tools. You will be a key member of the primary Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, ensuring the seamless functioning of multiple enterprise tools that are vital to our mission-critical ecosystem.
• • In this capacity, you will tackle complex challenges, including resolving intricate interoperability issues that span across various operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and robustness of the entire infrastructure. This involves performing essential patching and upgrades to keep our systems secure and up-to-date, thereby minimizing vulnerabilities and maximizing operational efficiency.
• • The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building and supporting robust solutions within cloud environments, with a strong preference for AWS. You will have hands-on experience deploying and meticulously maintaining Kubernetes clusters, with a particular emphasis on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). This deep understanding of container orchestration is paramount for managing scalable and resilient applications.
• • A strong working knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems is a fundamental requirement for this role. You will leverage this expertise to configure and manage Linux-based servers, specifically to support dynamic web applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
• • Proficiency with essential development and collaboration tools is expected. This includes hands-on experience with Git for version control, GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and Artifactory for artifact management. These tools are central to our streamlined development and deployment processes.
• • You will be responsible for demonstrating a proven track record in automating build processes and software deployments. This is achieved through the effective implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines, which are designed to streamline the software delivery lifecycle, enhance consistency across deployments, and support secure, scalable infrastructure operations. Your ability to automate repetitive tasks will significantly improve efficiency and reduce the potential for human error.
• • Key responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of DevSecOps tools, from initial design and deployment to rigorous testing, certification, and ongoing operation and maintenance. You will be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving complex interoperability issues, ensuring that all components of the ecosystem work harmoniously.
• • You will also be responsible for deploying and configuring services utilizing infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers, ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness. Debugging and supporting cluster-based computing architectures will be a regular part of your duties, ensuring the stability of our distributed systems.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves the installation, configuration, and diligent maintenance of open-source monitoring and observability tools. This proactive approach will allow us to identify and address potential issues before they impact users, ensuring high availability and performance.
• • You will collaborate closely with development and security teams to ensure that our CI/CD pipelines are not only efficient but also fully aligned with the most current DevSecOps best practices. This partnership is crucial for embedding security throughout the development lifecycle.
• • Scripting and programming skills, particularly in languages such as Bash and Python, will be essential for automating deployments, enhancing system reliability, and developing custom solutions to meet specific operational needs.
• • You will actively participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities, contributing to the overall planning and execution of our development roadmap within an Agile framework.
• • This role requires the ability to support a multi-enclave environment, including Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret levels, demonstrating adaptability and adherence to stringent security protocols. The position is strictly on-site with our customer in Chantilly, VA, and requires an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and pass a CI polygraph.
