- • The Sr Director Analyst – Public Cloud Sourcing & Cloud Commercial Strategy role at Gartner serves as a key leader in the Business and Technology Insights group, providing expert guidance on public cloud sourcing, commercial strategy, and complex contract negotiations with hyperscale providers like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle.
- • Day to day, the role involves advising clients on end-to-end sourcing strategies, leading large-scale cloud negotiations, developing data-driven insights for multi-year agreements, optimizing cloud licensing and FinOps practices, conducting market trend research, engaging senior procurement and technology leaders through advisory sessions, and mentoring junior analysts while collaborating with sales and research teams.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10–12+ years of experience in public cloud sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation, vendor management, enterprise cloud licensing, and commercial strategy
- • Proven track record negotiating high-value agreements with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle
- • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation expertise, and ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights for C-level stakeholders
- • Excellent written, presentation, and client communication skills with executive presence to influence senior technology and procurement leaders
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred; willingness to travel up to 25%
