- • The Sr. Director, Sales, Analytics & Space Planning at e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving growth, productivity, and operational efficiencies across retail channels by leveraging sales data, consumer trends, and market insights to inform merchandise assortment planning and space optimization. This role is critical to sustaining the company’s record-breaking performance, including 28 consecutive quarters of net sales growth and $1 billion in annual revenue, by ensuring that e.l.f.’s multi-brand portfolio is optimally presented in stores to maximize sell-through and customer engagement.
- • The person will lead a team of sales analysts, category managers, and space planners to develop data-driven assortment strategies, produce best-in-class planograms for diverse retail environments (including Target, Walmart, Ulta, Drug, Grocery, and Dollar stores), and support retailer reset execution across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. They will build and maintain performance dashboards, translate complex data into actionable insights, and partner with cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance to align merchandising strategies with broader business goals. Additionally, they will foster a high-performance team culture focused on engagement, retention, and continuous improvement, ensuring the team delivers consistent, category-leading growth through e.l.f.’s proprietary productivity model.

- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in retail analytics, category management, and space planning within the dynamic beauty and mass retail landscape. 🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred
- • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales analytics, category management, space planning, or retail strategy, preferably within CPG, beauty, or mass retail industries
- • Proven experience leading teams and managing complex projects across multiple retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Ulta, drug, grocery, dollar) and geographies (U.S., Canada, Mexico)
- • Expertise in retail data analysis, POS/syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS), assortment optimization, and planogram development using tools like JDA, Blue Yonder, or similar platforms
- • Strong proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Excel) to build dashboards and communicate insights to senior stakeholders
- • Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic recommendations that drive sales growth, improve shelf productivity, and support retailer collaboration
