- • As a Senior Enterprise AI Security Architect at WEX Inc., you will define the vision, strategy, and technical leadership for securing AI and ML systems across the global enterprise, bridging business needs with technical execution to protect assets and enable innovation.
- • You will design resilient security architectures for AI model hosting, agentic execution, cloud infrastructure, and data privacy, ensuring compliance with frameworks like PCI-DSS, NIST, GDPR, and HITRUST while enabling rapid innovation through Secure by Design principles.
- • You will partner with Enterprise IT, Product, Data Science, and Software Engineering teams to secure infrastructure, review LLM and multi-agent system architectures, and mentor engineering teams on secure AI implementation.
- • You will drive architectural initiatives independently, translate regulatory requirements into technical standards, and influence senior leadership through strong communication and strategic thinking, operating effectively across global time zones with minimal oversight.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in information security, including 3+ years in an enterprise security architecture role focused on emerging technologies
- • Deep expertise in designing secure patterns for infrastructure, cloud, network, and identity as they relate to AI model hosting and agentic execution environments
- • Strong practical understanding of modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure), networking, and security engineering principles
- • Extensive experience designing solutions that meet security, compliance, and business requirements for generative AI and autonomous systems
- • Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PCI-DSS, NIST, GDPR, SOX, or HITRUST and their application to AI data privacy
- • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical architecture standards and implementation guidance
- • Experience reviewing and approving security architecture for complex enterprise systems including Large Language Models and multi-agent workflows
- • Comfort troubleshooting and advising on security or network issues in complex distributed environments including vector databases and inference endpoints
- • Ability to drive projects and architectural initiatives independently, meeting delivery timelines for AI security guardrail implementation with minimal supervision
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders
- • Familiarity with ITIL concepts applied to incident, problem, and change management
- • Hold relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, CCSP, or equivalent specialized credentials in AI or machine learning security
