- • As a Senior Financial Analyst at Velera, you will play a critical role in driving financial insight and strategic decision-making across core and ancillary products and services, directly supporting the company’s mission to accelerate partners’ success through innovative fintech solutions and inspired service.
- • Your analysis will ensure efficient resource allocation, identify profitability opportunities, and support product launches by providing data-driven recommendations that impact the financial health and growth trajectory of the organization serving over 4,000 financial institutions across North America.
- • Day to day, you will forecast revenue and costs for assigned products and services on both periodic (monthly/quarterly) and ad hoc bases, ensuring alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
- • You will compile and roll up the consolidated monthly financial forecast, preparing comprehensive financial and management reports while interpreting results to highlight key trends and variances for leadership.
- • A core responsibility includes preparing monthly product P&Ls, comparing actual results against projections (MOM & YOY), evaluating performance against original ROI assumptions, identifying root causes of variances, and recommending corrective actions to management.
- • You will conduct regular financial analysis to detect variances, determine their underlying causes, and provide actionable recommendations to eliminate or reduce unfavorable outcomes, enhancing fiscal discipline.
- • Margin analysis, pricing research, and special projects will be part of your routine, including developing pricing analytics and refining price proposal templates to improve competitiveness and profitability.
- • You will provide financial guidance to cross-functional teams in building ROIs, documenting key assumptions, and crafting executive summaries for management presentations, ensuring financial rigor in strategic initiatives.
- • Maintaining and updating the cost of capital assumption for use in ROI, NPV, and IRR calculations on an annual basis will fall under your purview, supporting accurate long-term investment evaluation.
- • You will own the maintenance and periodic updates of the standard ROI questionnaire, ensuring consistency and relevance in financial evaluation processes across the organization.
- • Acting as a finance representative on product launch teams as needed, you will integrate financial oversight into go-to-market strategies from inception to execution.
- • You will design and deliver finance training for non-financial personnel, mentor the junior Financial Analyst, and train the accounting team in interpreting financial data, including KPIs and actual vs. budget variances, fostering financial literacy organization-wide.
- • Preparing ad-hoc reports in response to evolving business needs will be a regular expectation, requiring agility and precision in financial storytelling.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, complex modeling, and data analysis.
- • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is preferred.
