- • As a Senior Financial Analyst in FP&A at CNO Financial Group, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s financial health by analyzing operational and financial data to drive strategic planning, expense management, and reporting accuracy—directly impacting decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- • You will prepare, analyze, and report detailed expense tracking against budget and forecast by account, cost center, function, and project, ensuring financial transparency and accountability across departments.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing FP&A system administration, coordinating with IT to maintain data integrity in tools like Hyperion, Essbase, and Business Objects, and ensuring seamless data flow for reporting cycles.
- • You will prepare and analyze information for monthly internal business reviews, perform month-end and quarter-end accounting processes such as journal entry preparation and posting, and monitor accounts for unusual trends or fluctuations.
- • A key part of your role involves producing consolidated quarterly reporting for internal and external management meetings, delivering insights that support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making.
- • You will analyze key performance metrics, provide actionable strategic insights based on data trends, and conduct ad hoc analyses to address emerging business questions.
- • Maintaining rigorous documentation and internal controls over financial processes will be essential to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and process reliability.
- • You will also assist in training and mentoring junior analysts, fostering knowledge sharing and team development within the FP&A function.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience, including at least 5 years dedicated to financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance.
- • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in FP&A and BI tools such as Hyperion, Essbase, Tableau, Alteryx, Business Objects, and Concur.
- • Demonstrated ability to extract, transform, and analyze data from key financial systems (Hyperion, Essbase, Concur, Business Objects, Microsoft Suite) to support reporting and forecasting.
- • Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills with meticulous attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, timely financial reports.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create clear, persuasive management presentations and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
