- • Lead, manage, and analyze release management activities for Workday, including bi-annual, one-off, and weekly/bi-weekly service and change releases.
- • Ensure seamless delivery of Workday updates and changes to The Nature Conservancy’s HCM and Finance environments with minimal disruption and maximum institutional value.
- • Serve as the primary expert in Workday Deployment Methodology, coordinating manual and automated deployment activities across global teams.
- • Act as a liaison between IT, HCM, Finance, Quality Management, Security, Privacy, and AI stakeholders to ensure release compatibility and stakeholder satisfaction.
- • Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and technical user needs, documenting requirements and translating them into functional technical specifications.
- • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans for Workday releases, ensuring reliability, availability, performance, and recoverability of systems.
- • Write and maintain comprehensive systems documentation, including user manuals, technical manuals, and deployment procedures.
- • Establish and enforce control policies, benchmarks, and measures aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT staff and business units to identify, leverage, and implement integrated solutions across platforms and systems.
- • Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches to improve IT efficiency and reduce manual effort in release processes.
- • Manage multiple interdependencies across third-party platforms including Phenom, Broadbean, DocuSign, background check systems, banking, and payroll integrations.
- • Adapt and modify processes in response to evolving business needs, regulatory requirements, or technological changes.
- • Facilitate change management protocols and deliver training to ensure smooth adoption of new releases and system updates.
- • Work effectively in a matrixed organizational structure, managing resources, project plans, and addressing gaps with internal and external teams.
- • Present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment and buy-in across departments.
- • Travel and work flexible hours, including weekends, as required to support global release cycles and stakeholder needs.
- • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with global HCM, Finance, IT, and security teams to ensure governance, compliance, and successful implementation.
- • Support the development of successful customer outcomes through proactive communication, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of Workday systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5 years of experience as a business or technical professional in Information Technology or a related field
- • 3-5 years of implementation experience in Workday with a focus on HCM and Finance and a release/deployment focus
- • 5 years of technical or general project management experience
- • Experience with Workday release cycles, including planning, testing, and deploying updates across functional areas
- • Workday certifications or hands-on experience with HCM, Financials, and Workday deployment practices
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with comfort presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
