  • • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of HR Field Coordinators (HRFCs) across multiple construction job sites, providing guidance on HR policies, systems, and best practices.
  • • Serve as the primary escalation point and subject matter expert for Workday and TCP HR systems, overseeing requests for enhancements, testing, and implementation of field-related workflows.
  • • Ensure accurate and timely execution of core HR field operations including timekeeping, onboarding, compliance tracking, and system support by HRFCs.
  • • Monitor team performance, troubleshoot operational roadblocks, and resolve escalated issues related to payroll, employee relations, or system discrepancies.
  • • Conduct regular check-ins with HRFCs to assess performance, provide feedback, and drive ongoing development and engagement.
  • • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new HR Field Coordinators in collaboration with HR leadership.
  • • Lead or assist with ad-hoc HR projects focused on compliance, workforce development, onboarding optimization, and field workforce engagement.
  • • Provide oversight and process improvement for key field programs including the DOT Program, Orange Vest Program, Apprenticeship initiatives, and Commissioning/IRA data reporting.
  • • Partner with HRFCs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, company policies, and safety standards across all job sites.
  • • Conduct audits on timekeeping accuracy, onboarding documentation, and other compliance checkpoints to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory alignment.
  • • Escalate sensitive or risk-related matters to the appropriate HR Business Partner in a timely manner.
  • • Visit job sites regularly (30–40% travel) to observe operations, gather field feedback, support HRFCs, and reinforce consistent HR practices.
  • • Provide backup coverage for HR Field Coordinators during absences, peak activity periods, or emergencies to ensure uninterrupted HR operations.
  • • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, trade schools, and local workforce agencies to support Moss’s talent pipeline and recruitment efforts.
  • • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead with integrity, empathy, and cultural awareness in a dynamic field environment.
  • • Work extended hours, weekends, or variable shifts as required by project timelines and operational demands.
  • • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) to manage reporting, documentation, and communication tasks.
  • • Promote Moss’s people-first values and ensure consistent application of HR policies throughout the field team lifecycle.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4–6 years of progressive HR or administrative experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a field-based or site support HR role
  • • Prior experience in a supervisory, team lead, or mentoring capacity
  • • Knowledge and hands-on experience with HRIS systems, particularly Workday and TCP
  • • College degree in Business or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • • Willingness to travel regularly (30–40%) to construction job sites and corporate office
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
