Sr. Image Quality Architecture Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Senior Image Quality Architecture Engineer at Samsara, you will serve as the technical founding member responsible for defining the end-to-end imaging strategy, ensuring peak camera performance in static and high-vibration environments, and leading lens/sensor selection for Samsara’s Video-Based Safety and telematics products.
• • Day to day, you will architect system IQ specifications, design and procure the IQ Lab (including charts, light booths, and LED flicker targets), define optical requirements, lead lens selection and qualification, develop Golden Tuning targets for ISP (Auto Exposure, HDR, Color Science), tune stabilization strategies (EIS) to mitigate jello effect and motion blur, collaborate with Hardware Engineering on CRA matching, manage external JDM partners and certification labs, and champion Samsara’s cultural principles across global teams.
