Sr. Image Quality Tuning Engineer

📋 Description

• • The Sr. Image Quality Tuning Engineer will optimize image signal processing (ISP) pipelines for road and cabin-facing cameras in Samsara’s video-based safety and telematics products, ensuring image clarity and stability under high-motion and high-vibration conditions typical of commercial vehicles.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include tuning ISP blocks (Auto Exposure, Noise Reduction, Sharpening, Color Mapping), developing Python/MATLAB scripts for objective image quality metrics (MTF, SNR, Dynamic Range), managing tuning toolchains, performing regression analysis on IQ data, automating report generation with vibration robustness scores, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Management, EE, PD, FW, EPM, NPI, and hardware leadership.
