- • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across global regions to support VGS’s universal token vault platform.
- • Lead site reliability engineering initiatives to ensure 99.99%+ uptime for critical payment tokenization services handling sensitive financial data.
- • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-native systems running on AWS, including EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway, with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.
- • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security and compliance controls into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring adherence to PCI DSS, SOC 2, and other financial industry standards.
- • Implement and maintain robust logging, alerting, and observability systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and ELK stack to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure anomalies.
- • Respond to production incidents with urgency, leading root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
- • Manage and secure network architecture including VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS configurations to protect sensitive payment data in transit and at rest.
- • Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- • Partner with security and compliance teams to conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing of infrastructure components.
- • Document infrastructure designs, operational procedures, and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across engineering teams.
- • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams on best practices in cloud operations and SRE methodologies.
- • Support global customer-facing infrastructure needs by ensuring low-latency, high-throughput tokenization services across multiple geographic regions.
- • Maintain strict separation of duties and access controls for infrastructure environments to meet financial industry security requirements.
- • Contribute to capacity planning and forecasting to align infrastructure growth with business expansion and client demand.
- • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure systems with defined escalation paths and response SLAs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or site reliability engineering
- • Expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture
- • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- • Strong understanding of PCI DSS, SOC 2, and financial industry compliance requirements
- • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS) and microservices architectures
- • Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
