  • • Serve as the primary data partner for Product, Engineering, and Business leaders across the Shows and Merchandising organizations, providing data-driven guidance to shape product strategy and operational decisions.
  • • Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives from metric definition and dashboard development to deep-dive analyses that inform product innovation, merchandising optimization, and buyer engagement strategies.
  • • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments to measure the impact of new features, algorithm changes, and merchandising campaigns, applying rigorous statistical methods to ensure valid causal inference.
  • • Analyze viewer engagement metrics, host performance patterns, auction dynamics, and conversion funnels to optimize the Posh Shows live shopping ecosystem and increase buyer participation and seller revenue.
  • • Evaluate supply and demand trends, search and discovery efficacy, and personalized recommendation performance to enhance inventory liquidity, improve product visibility, and drive marketplace-wide engagement.
  • • Integrate Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) into daily workflows to accelerate SQL and Python code generation, automate repetitive analytical tasks, and increase analytical output efficiency without compromising accuracy.
  • • Build, maintain, and scale robust data models that support reporting, experimentation, and strategic analysis across merchandising and revenue domains.
  • • Develop intuitive, automated dashboards using Looker or Tableau to deliver real-time insights to cross-functional teams, ensuring accessibility and actionability of key performance indicators.
  • • Mentor junior data analysts by providing technical guidance, reviewing analytical approaches, and fostering a culture of data rigor, curiosity, and ownership.
  • • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders, aligning data insights with business objectives to drive decision-making at all levels.
  • • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure data pipeline integrity and accuracy, advocating for data quality standards and documentation practices across analytics initiatives.
  • • Establish and evolve KPI frameworks for merchandising and revenue teams, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and enabling consistent measurement of success across initiatives.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, analytical processes, and reporting automation to reduce manual effort and increase scalability of the analytics function.
  • • Support the development of data literacy across the organization by leading training sessions, sharing best practices, and promoting the adoption of data-driven mindsets in product and business teams.
  • • Maintain deep familiarity with Poshmark’s marketplace dynamics, including seller behavior, buyer preferences, and the unique characteristics of social commerce, to ground analytical work in operational reality.
  • • Work closely with Product teams to define success metrics for new features and ensure analytical rigor is embedded in the product development lifecycle from ideation through launch.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field, with a strong preference for experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or live streaming
  • • Expert-level proficiency in SQL
  • • Strong programming skills in Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis
  • • Practical, hands-on experience using LLMs (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) to write and optimize queries, troubleshoot code, and perform analytics tasks with high efficiency
  • • Advanced experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
  • • Deep understanding of A/B testing methodologies, statistical significance, and causal inference techniques
  • • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring peers
  • • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent practical experience
