- • In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the strategic vision, meticulous development, and effective execution of Dandy’s global manufacturing and automation roadmap specifically for our Removables product line. This involves forging strong partnerships with leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to meticulously define and scale Dandy’s next-generation dental manufacturing systems.
- • Your core responsibility will be to set the overarching strategic direction for the Removables manufacturing platform. You will lead dedicated teams tasked with conceptualizing, developing, and seamlessly integrating advanced automation systems. The ultimate goal is to achieve exceptional levels of quality, throughput, and cost efficiency in our manufacturing processes. This role serves as a critical bridge, connecting the worlds of engineering, operations, product development, and strategic vendor partnerships, ensuring that Dandy’s factories consistently remain at the vanguard of advanced manufacturing within the dynamic dental industry. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned manufacturing and automation executive who thrives at the nexus of technical excellence, strategic foresight, and robust cross-functional collaboration.
- • **Strategic Leadership & Vision:**
- • Define, articulate, and execute a comprehensive, long-term Advanced Manufacturing & Automation strategy that is intrinsically aligned with the company’s overarching objectives for scaling operations, ensuring superior quality, and fostering continuous innovation.
- • Establish and maintain a detailed multi-year technology roadmap encompassing factory automation, sophisticated digital manufacturing systems, and proactive continuous improvement initiatives.
- • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to meticulously identify, evaluate, and prioritize key strategic investments in automation technologies, specialized equipment, and critical process capabilities.
- • Actively drive the evolution and optimization of Dandy’s manufacturing operations, aiming to achieve and surpass world-class benchmarks in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield rates, and operational reliability.
- • **Cross-Functional Program Leadership:**
- • Serve as the principal liaison and primary interface between Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Quality Assurance teams for all advanced manufacturing and automation-related initiatives.
- • Skillfully translate complex business requirements and product needs into robust technical manufacturing strategies that artfully balance groundbreaking innovation with practical scalability and stringent cost efficiency.
- • Provide rigorous oversight of cross-functional project governance, ensuring seamless alignment, proactive risk mitigation, and the timely, successful execution of projects across globally distributed teams.
- • Lead comprehensive capital planning processes, strategic program prioritization, and the development of effective vendor strategies to guarantee optimal Return on Investment (ROI) for all manufacturing automation programs.
- • **Technology & Process Development:**
- • Direct the end-to-end process of designing, rigorously validating, and seamlessly integrating novel automation systems and advanced manufacturing technologies into Dandy’s existing and future factory environments.
- • Provide strong leadership and direction to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team, empowering them in areas of process innovation, novel equipment development, and comprehensive lifecycle management.
- • Champion the widespread adoption of data-driven manufacturing principles, actively integrating Industry 4.0 concepts such as the Internet of Things (IoT), predictive analytics, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration, and the strategic use of digital twins.
- • Guide and oversee critical system design reviews, meticulously develop and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) protocols, and ensure successful production qualification of all new automation lines.
- • **Organizational Development:**
- • Proactively build, develop, and mentor a high-performing, world-class team comprising automation engineers, program managers, and manufacturing leaders.
- • Cultivate and nurture a dynamic organizational culture characterized by innovation, unwavering accountability, and a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement within the AME function.
- • Represent the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering function effectively in high-level executive reviews, critical supplier negotiations, and relevant industry forums, enhancing Dandy’s reputation and influence.
