  • • As a Sr. Manager, Business Development at Replit, you will lead and scale the outbound sales development team to fuel the company’s go-to-market strategy, directly contributing to Replit’s mission of democratizing software creation through natural language. This role is pivotal in building the foundation for scalable revenue growth by establishing a high-performing BDR organization that identifies and engages high-potential accounts across SMB to Enterprise segments.
  • • You will build, lead, and scale a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives by recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and coaching top-tier talent while maintaining accountability for quota attainment and individual development. Your day-to-day includes developing and implementing BDR processes, playbooks, and best practices for cold and warm outbound channels, coaching BDRs on qualification methodologies, objection handling, and pipeline generation, analyzing performance data to improve conversion and meeting quality, and ensuring CRM hygiene and reporting accuracy across the team.
  • • You will partner closely with sales leadership on territory assignments, quotas, and lead handoff processes, collaborate with marketing and sales operations to optimize lead routing, improve lead quality and conversion, and provide feedback on campaign effectiveness. Additionally, you will evangelize Replit’s vision of a world where anyone can create software using natural language, ensuring your team can articulate this compellingly to prospects.
  • • You will work in tandem with Account Executives and AE leaders to ensure smooth handoffs and tight feedback loops, stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategy, and uphold a data-driven approach to performance management and process optimization. This role offers the opportunity to architect a scalable, personalized first-touch experience that sets the tone for every user’s journey with Replit.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in building and scaling outbound sales engines in a high-growth, AI-driven developer tools environment, gaining strategic leadership experience in aligning GTM functions, designing multi-channel outreach sequences, and leveraging modern sales technology stacks. You will also grow your ability to coach and mentor junior sales talent, refine your skills in performance analytics and process engineering, and contribute to a mission-driven company shaping the future of software creation.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of sales development experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role, preferably with experience targeting a technical ideal customer profile (ICP)
  • • Proven track record of building and scaling BDR teams, ideally in a high-growth environment, with strong individual contributor background in both inbound and outbound prospecting
  • • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Clay, SmartLead, Gong, Chorus, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Default, Nooks, Hashboard, or Hex
  • • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent coaching and mentoring abilities, and a data-driven approach to performance management and process optimization
  • • Passion for technology and ability to quickly learn and teach complex technical concepts, with experience or strong interest in AI and machine learning
