- • Lead and scale a team of high-performing engineers, providing mentorship and career development.
- • Own the delivery and execution of the Email Security roadmap, ensuring high velocity without compromising on quality or reliability.
- • Drive architectural decisions for complex, high-throughput distributed systems and platforms.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Product and Security teams to align technical strategy with customer needs.
- • Foster a culture of operational excellence, overseeing oncall rotations, incident response, and system health.
- • Extensive experience as a strong IC in distributed systems or backend infrastructure, with a proven track record of transitioning into successful engineering management.
- • Experience managing teams of engineers in a high-scale, high-growth environment.
- • Strong product sense and the ability to translate technical constraints into product tradeoffs.
- • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional partners like Product and Security.
- • Startup agility: A low-ego, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced settings.
- • Material Security is a remote-first workplace with an office in San Francisco, California.
- • Compensation at Material Security is determined by a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
- • The projected pay range for this position is $235,000 - $260,000 annual salary.
