• • As a Sr. Manager, Treasury Services at Kraken, you will be at the forefront of building and optimizing the financial infrastructure that powers the future of cryptocurrency. This pivotal role involves leading a high-performing team responsible for the comprehensive management of treasury account services, ensuring robust audit controls and governance, and driving strategic initiatives that enhance our global financial operations. You will own the strategic direction and execution of bank account administration, provide critical oversight for key strategic projects, and shape the treasury policies and procedures that underpin our rapidly growing, crypto-native organization.
• • This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in financial operations, a strong understanding of SOX controls, and proven capabilities in project and people management. You will navigate the complexities of a global, remote-first company, adapting to the evolving needs of the crypto landscape. A significant aspect of this role involves contributing to transformative technology and process improvement projects, aiming to boost efficiency, ensure compliance, and foster scalability across our treasury functions.
• • You will be instrumental in setting priorities and guiding your team to deliver exceptional bank account services and strategic initiatives to both the Treasury department and the wider organization. This includes taking full ownership of the entire lifecycle of global bank account administration, managing hundreds of accounts across diverse legal entities, products, services, and new geographic expansions. Your responsibilities will extend to providing direction and oversight for access management, integration, and authorization processes for over 400 bank accounts, payment service providers, vendors, investment portals, and stablecoin issuers.
• • A key focus will be owning User Access Reviews across Treasury and Banking Partners, ensuring security and compliance. You will also be responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our Treasury Management System (TMS), Kyriba, ensuring it effectively supports our operational needs. Collaboration is central to this role; you will partner closely with Accounting, Internal Audit, Product, Growth, and Sales teams to meticulously gather and translate treasury requirements into actionable product specifications. This will involve working hand-in-hand with Product and Engineering teams to build, test, and launch innovative solutions that streamline our financial processes.
• • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in supporting our global expansion efforts by partnering with Banking and Payroll teams to ensure seamless treasury operations in new regions. You will oversee JIRA workflows for banking requests, treasury operations, variance investigations, and the maintenance of our treasury knowledge library, ensuring efficient and organized operations. Maintaining audit readiness and ensuring SOX-compliant processes will be a continuous effort, achieved through close collaboration with Finance, Risk, and Operations teams.
• • Beyond operational excellence, you will lead significant product initiatives designed to support regulated financial offerings, representing the 'voice of the customer' – both institutional and retail clients – in the design of treasury services. You will spearhead special projects directly tied to strategic growth initiatives, such as the development of new products and financial rails. Close collaboration with Asset Liability Management and Risk teams will be essential for designing robust controls, systems, and workflows.
• • You will also work closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and Business Development to gain a deep understanding of market requirements and identify key pain points that treasury services can address. A significant part of your mandate will be to implement operational automation and data pipelines, driving efficiency and reducing manual intervention. Ultimately, you will ensure that our treasury services are seamlessly integrated into the broader product ecosystem and contribute to an exceptional internal customer experience, reinforcing Kraken's position as a leader in the crypto financial space.
