- • As a Sr Principal Control Systems Engineer at OpenDeal Inc., you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing our recycling operations by designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the automation, infrastructure, controls, and monitoring systems across our network of recycling centers.
- • This pivotal role demands a hands-on technical leader who can translate complex engineering concepts into tangible improvements, directly impacting operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and system integration.
- • You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Area Functional Managers, General Managers, Operations Managers, and Supervisors, providing expert guidance and strategic insights.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, IT, and maintenance, to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical and electrical infrastructure and to deliver cohesive, scalable automation solutions.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to developing and implementing robust maintenance and improvement measures for critical recycling equipment such as conveyors, shredders, optical sorters, and material handling systems, ensuring their optimal performance.
- • You will be instrumental in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within existing control systems, meticulously optimizing their performance to guarantee efficient and reliable operations and to drive improved operational outcomes.
- • This role requires leading cross-functional projects from their initial concept through to successful commissioning, encompassing all phases including budgeting, scheduling, and meticulous vendor coordination.
