- • Smarsh is seeking a visionary and experienced Senior Principal Product Manager to spearhead the MLOps and Agentic strategy for our cutting-edge Analytics Platform. In a rapidly evolving landscape where models are proliferating at an unprecedented pace and agentic workflows are transitioning from experimental phases to critical production environments, this role is paramount. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of how Smarsh governs, deploys, monitors, and orchestrates AI models, ensuring robustness, scalability, and compliance in the face of significant regulatory scrutiny.
- • This is a unique opportunity for a product leader who understands that MLOps and agentic frameworks are not disparate concepts but rather two integral components of a unified platform. You will be responsible for defining and executing a product vision that encompasses the entire lifecycle of our AI models, from development and deployment to ongoing monitoring and autonomous operation. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to leverage AI/ML for risk management, intelligence extraction, and the development of next-generation GenAI-enabled workflows.
- • As an Individual Contributor Director, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and strategic influence, akin to a Director-level executive, while remaining deeply involved in the day-to-day execution of product strategy. This includes shaping product roadmaps, influencing critical architectural decisions, and driving widespread adoption of our MLOps and agentic solutions across engineering, risk, compliance, and various business units.
- • Your primary focus will be on building and refining the platform that governs how our AI models are built, deployed, and continuously monitored. This involves ensuring the infrastructure is not only robust and scalable but also meticulously aligned with the current and future technology landscape. You will champion best practices in model lifecycle management, version control, performance tracking, and drift detection.
- • Concurrently, you will lead the product strategy for the orchestration layer that enables our models to act autonomously. This includes defining how these models interact, make decisions, and execute tasks on behalf of Smarsh and our customers, all while adhering to strict compliance and ethical guidelines. You will explore and define the capabilities of agentic systems, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and deliver tangible business value.
- • You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable development plans, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of MLOps and agentic capabilities. This involves deep engagement with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and platform engineers to understand technical constraints and opportunities.
- • You will be the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise business value propositions. Your ability to articulate the strategic importance of MLOps and agentic systems will be crucial for securing buy-in and driving adoption across the organization.
- • You will work hand-in-hand with our Risk and Compliance teams to ensure that all AI/ML operations and agentic workflows meet stringent regulatory requirements. This includes defining policies, implementing controls, and establishing audit trails for AI model usage and decision-making processes.
- • You will be responsible for defining the success metrics for your product domain, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to model performance, operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer impact. This data-driven approach will inform future product iterations and strategic decisions.
- • You will stay abreast of the latest advancements in MLOps, AI governance, agentic AI, and related technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate new innovations into the Smarsh platform to maintain our competitive edge.
- • This role offers the chance to own one of the most strategically significant product domains within Smarsh’s AI strategy, directly contributing to the company’s sustained growth and leadership in the regulated industries market. You will report directly to the VP of Product, providing you with visibility and influence at the highest levels of the organization.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical acumen, product management expertise, and a deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, coupled with a strategic mindset to navigate the complexities of regulated environments.
