  • • As a Sr. Product Manager for Merchant Operations at Addi, you will be instrumental in building and scaling a robust, enterprise-grade operational infrastructure that serves as a strategic competitive advantage. Your primary mission is to transform our operational foundation into a powerhouse that enables Addi to scale its merchant base with unparalleled financial traceability, empower merchants with self-service autonomy, and ensure the highest integrity of our data. This role is critical for maintaining the trust of our growing network of over 20,000 merchants and supporting our ambitious growth trajectory as Colombia's fastest-growing marketplace.
  • • You will be responsible for driving key initiatives that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of our merchant operations. This includes achieving critical data consistency across all pricing, discount, and revenue systems. To accomplish this, you will implement a governed, role-based workflow for managing MDF (Market Development Funds) and discount configurations, ensuring full audit trails are in place by the end of H1. This will bring much-needed structure and transparency to how we manage merchant incentives.
  • • Furthermore, you will focus on improving the payment success rates for new merchants. This involves deploying automated bank account validations to ensure accuracy from the outset and developing Host-to-Host integrations that streamline the onboarding and payment processes. By reducing friction and errors early on, we can accelerate merchant adoption and satisfaction.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve reducing manual cancellation volumes. You will lead the development of a rebuilt cancellations system designed to handle complex scenarios, including multi-partial cancellations. This system will incorporate automated loan eligibility rules and provide an intuitive 'Cancellation Tool' for our internal operations teams, significantly improving their efficiency and reducing the burden of manual processing.
  • • To eliminate manual data corrections stemming from onboarding errors, you will establish a 'Single Source of Truth' for all merchant master data. This will involve implementing two-way field synchronization between our CRM (Salesforce) and core financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the board. This foundational work is crucial for reliable reporting and operational decision-making.
  • • Looking ahead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the H2 2026 Strategic Roadmap. This will involve conducting in-depth, cross-functional discovery into critical areas such as Identity & Access Management and Dynamic Pricing. Your ability to translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and secure stakeholder buy-in for at least two high-impact self-service merchant products will be key to unlocking new levels of merchant empowerment and operational efficiency.
  • • You will act as the central 'connective tissue' between various departments, including Finance, Risk, Legal, and Sales. Your expertise in translating dense regulatory or accounting constraints into clear, actionable product requirements will be essential. You will be adept at driving consensus across teams with potentially conflicting KPIs, such as balancing the Sales team's drive for speed with Finance's stringent requirements for data integrity and month-end accuracy.
  • • This role demands a strong understanding of backend systems and operational infrastructure. You should have a proven track record in building and maintaining high-reliability systems, particularly those involved in payment processing, reconciliation, and billing, which handle high transaction volumes with zero tolerance for error. Designing and implementing enterprise-grade financial controls, including robust audit trails, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and validation logic, will be paramount to prevent revenue leakage and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • • You will be expected to make pragmatic 'rebuild vs. patch' trade-offs, navigating the complexities of legacy technical debt inherent in a high-growth startup environment. The goal is to deliver value swiftly without compromising long-term system stability and scalability. Your ability to lead deep-dive technical discussions with engineering teams regarding API design, data pipelines, and system integrations will be crucial.
  • • Process reengineering and automation are core to this role. You will be adept at mapping complex, manual workflows and transforming them into streamlined, automated self-service capabilities that empower both merchants and internal teams. Your focus will be on driving operational efficiency metrics, such as reducing 'Time to First Payout,' manual ticket volume, or incident counts, rather than traditional consumer engagement metrics.
  • • A relentless ownership mentality is key. You will thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, proactively identifying root causes of system failures and taking end-to-end responsibility for solutions without requiring constant direction. You will be committed to pragmatic problem-solving, delivering immediate incremental improvements while maintaining a clear vision for the future 'North Star' of Merchant Operations.
  • • Establishing and maintaining a 'Single Source of Truth' across disparate systems is a critical responsibility. You will ensure 100% consistency for merchant master data, including tax IDs, banking information, and contract details. Familiarity with data quality frameworks and the implementation of automated health dashboards and alerting systems to proactively catch data incidents will be highly valued.
