- • As a Sr. SaaS Account Executive for DTN's Weather Division, you will be a pivotal player in driving new business acquisition within critical industries. Your primary mission will be to identify, prospect, and secure new clients, leveraging a "hunter" sales mentality to generate leads and close initial deals. This role is designed for a proactive and results-oriented sales professional who excels at building a robust pipeline and converting opportunities into long-term customer relationships, which will then be transitioned to our dedicated Account Management team for ongoing success.
- • Your day-to-day will involve a strategic approach to market penetration. You will conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients and industry segments that align with DTN's powerful SaaS solutions. This includes understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within the weather-driven industries DTN serves, such as energy, agriculture, and aviation. You will be expected to develop a deep and intimate understanding of DTN's comprehensive offerings, enabling you to articulate their value proposition with precision and confidence.
- • Prospecting and lead generation will be core to your success. You will actively engage in outreach through various channels, including leveraging existing professional networks, seeking referrals, and conducting direct outreach via cold calls and targeted email campaigns. Participation in industry trade shows and events will also be a key component of your lead generation strategy, allowing you to build brand awareness and connect with potential clients directly.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves engaging with C-suite executives and key decision-makers. You will need to demonstrate a sophisticated ability to position DTN's solutions by offering industry point-of-view business insights and showcasing how our platform can address their most pressing operational challenges. This requires crafting and delivering compelling presentations and sales pitches that clearly articulate DTN's capabilities and the tangible benefits our clients can achieve.
- • You will be empowered to collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns designed to attract high-potential clients. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to leverage internal expertise and resources within DTN to identify cross-selling opportunities, ensuring clients receive the most comprehensive solutions to meet their needs.
- • Negotiation of pricing and contract terms will be a crucial part of securing new business. Your ability to effectively manage these discussions will directly contribute to meeting and exceeding ambitious monthly and quarterly sales targets focused on new client acquisition. The ultimate goal is to consistently drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new, high-value accounts.
- • Once a new client is secured, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and effective transition to the Account Management team. This involves providing detailed customer insights, clearly outlining their needs, expectations, and the agreed-upon solutions. This handover is critical for fostering long-term client satisfaction and retention.
- • Collaboration is key to success at DTN. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales leadership, operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure a cohesive and positive client experience from initial contact through to ongoing account management. Your input will be invaluable in refining our sales processes and enhancing overall client success strategies.
- • This role demands a self-motivated individual with a proven track record in B2B SaaS sales. You should be comfortable navigating complex sales cycles, understanding client business objectives, and articulating how DTN's innovative solutions can drive significant operational improvements and business outcomes. The ability to adapt quickly to changing market dynamics and client needs is essential for thriving in this fast-paced environment.
- • You will be expected to maintain meticulous records of your sales activities, leads, and pipeline progress using SFDC (Salesforce) software, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. A consultative and professional approach to all client interactions is paramount, fostering trust and building strong, lasting business relationships. The capacity to think on your feet and pivot your approach during client engagements, rather than rigidly sticking to a script, will set you apart.
