- • As a Sr. SDET/QA Automation Engineer at Roku, you will drive test automation for The Roku Channel streaming apps across multiple platforms, directly contributing to product quality and team productivity in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
- • You will be part of the core QA engineering team with significant ownership to build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks, write and execute test scripts, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to ensure seamless streaming experiences on FireTV, GoogleTV, Samsung, Web, and other platforms.
- • Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, pioneering the future of TV streaming by connecting consumers, publishers, and advertisers through innovation and a culture of action, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in test automation, AI-driven testing, video streaming technologies (DASH, HLS, MPEG-4, Widevine, FairPlay), and cross-platform QA while contributing to a mission that delights millions of streamers worldwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Test Automation working on large-scale web applications using REST APIs on cloud platforms.
- • Strong programming skills in one or more of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.
- • Solid experience with one or more automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, or JUnit.
- • Experience with video streaming domain technologies including DASH, HLS, MPEG-4, Widevine, and FairPlay.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
