• • As a Sr. Security Engineer I - Enterprise Security at Samsara Inc., you will be instrumental in building, operating, and maintaining the company's core security infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the robust security posture of Samsara's Connected Operations™ Cloud platform, which empowers organizations reliant on physical operations to leverage IoT data for actionable insights and operational improvements. You will contribute to enhancing the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the global economy's foundational industries, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing, by digitally transforming their operations at scale. Your work will directly impact the digital transformation of these critical sectors, shaping the future of physical operations and contributing to exciting product solutions like Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring.
• • In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing influence and leadership over Samsara’s Enterprise Security roadmap and priorities. This involves a strategic approach to balancing immediate business needs with long-term technical considerations, ensuring that security initiatives align with overarching company goals. A significant part of your day-to-day will involve writing clear, concise documentation and detailed runbooks for enterprise security workflows, ensuring that processes are well-defined and easily understood by the team and stakeholders. You will actively collaborate with partners across Engineering, IT, and other Security teams to guarantee the proper implementation and adherence to security tools and policies, fostering a secure environment across the organization. Occasionally, you will assist the Security Operations team during critical security investigations, serving as a technical subject matter expert within your specialized domain to provide crucial insights and guidance. Furthermore, you will partner closely with various engineering teams to triage and support the remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations identified in systems and applications, proactively mitigating potential risks. A key aspect of this role is mentoring engineers within the Security team, focusing on growing their domain knowledge, enhancing their tool-specific skills, and improving their communication abilities, thereby fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
