- • Prototype, write, maintain, and test code across multiple stages of the release process and in multiple environments to deliver automated solutions for application releases
- • Code, test, document, and deploy work into production and other environments with precision and reliability
- • Collaborate with senior team members to interpret stakeholder requirements and identify optimal technologies to solve business problems
- • Evaluate performance, scalability, and reliability in all technical decisions related to release automation and infrastructure
- • Learn and adopt new technologies, services, and industry best practices through collaboration with senior engineers
- • Partner with software engineers, systems engineers, product teams, and application support to enhance software delivery, configuration management, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- • Participate in a rotating on-call duty schedule to ensure system availability and rapid response to production incidents
- • Use sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve unusual or complex issues in release pipelines and deployment environments
- • Design and implement automation for build, provision, deploy, test, and monitor workflows using industry-standard toolchains such as TeamCity, GitLab, Jenkins, or Ansible
- • Apply advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages to automate release processes and infrastructure tasks
- • Work independently without direct supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability
- • Communicate technical concepts effectively through verbal and written channels to cross-functional teams
- • Present technical solutions and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and team members
- • Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and operations teams to align release strategies with business goals
- • Maintain and improve operational automation systems to ensure consistent, repeatable, and secure software deployments
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of release pipelines by identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions
🎯 Requirements
- • 2-3 years scripting experience in one or more common scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.), with PowerShell strongly preferred
- • 4+ years experience in server administration, configuration, or application/infrastructure deployment
- • Advanced experience creating build jobs, release pipelines, or operational automation using industry-standard tools (TeamCity, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, or similar)
- • Ability to participate in on-call rotation
- • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
