Sr. Software Engineer, Backend – AI Platform

📋 Description

• • As a Senior Software Engineer on Addepar’s AI Platform team, you will design, build, and ship backend services that power intelligent experiences such as document extraction, portfolio chat, and semantic retrieval, directly enabling investment professionals to turn complex financial data into actionable insights.
• • You will develop production systems in Python or other modern backend languages, build and evolve REST/gRPC APIs, design data models using MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or Redis, implement asynchronous processing with queues and workers, and work on real-time streaming infrastructure while collaborating with frontend, product, and AI/ML teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• • You will join a global engineering team at Addepar, a trusted data and AI platform used by over 1,400 firms across nearly 60 countries to manage nearly $9 trillion in assets, with offices in Pune, New York, London, and other major financial hubs.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scalable backend systems, gain hands-on experience with AI-integrated services, contribute to high-impact financial technology, and grow as a technical leader through ownership of complex features and collaboration across disciplines.
