📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend Platform) at Cyara, you will play a critical role in building and scaling the core backend systems that power the company’s AI-driven customer experience assurance platform, enabling enterprises to deliver flawless, secure, and friction-free customer journeys at scale.
• You will contribute directly to Cyara’s mission of eradicating bad customer experience by designing, implementing, and optimizing high-performance, reliable, and scalable software solutions that support continuous testing and monitoring across voice, digital, messaging, and conversational AI channels.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks, ensuring high availability, low latency, and seamless integration with frontend and AI-powered components of the Cyara platform.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, AI/ML engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver features that meet functional, scalability, and performance benchmarks.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code while adhering to engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit and integration testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to handle increasing workloads, supporting the platform’s ability to process over 350 million customer journeys annually.
• Participate in architectural discussions to evolve the backend platform, ensuring it remains resilient, modular, and capable of supporting emerging technologies such as agentic AI systems and real-time decision-making engines.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning aligned with Cyara’s values of Delivering Excellence, Innovating Boldly, and Embracing Curiosity.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in backend development using languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems and RESTful APIs in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing).
