- • As a Sr. Software Engineer (Data Engineer) in Clinical Vendor Solutions, you will design, develop, test, and maintain data integration solutions that power Prime Therapeutics’ clinical vendor hub, Partner IQ, ensuring seamless, accurate, and timely data flow between clinical vendors and internal systems to support critical clinical programs and strategic initiatives.
- • You will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across Prime’s healthcare ecosystem by building robust, scalable pipelines that transform raw vendor data into actionable insights, directly impacting patient care quality and operational efficiency.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL, optimizing data models in BigQuery, authoring and monitoring Airflow (Cloud Composer) workflows, and leveraging Dataflow (Apache Beam) for batch and stream processing to ensure high-throughput, low-latency data delivery.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, clinical vendors, and clients to gather requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure data integrity, compliance, and security across all integration touchpoints.
- • You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and help establish best practices in CI/CD (GitHub), infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native development on GCP, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
- • You will work within Prime Therapeutics’ mission-driven environment, where your technical contributions directly support the company’s purpose of connecting care beyond profits — improving medication adherence, reducing waste, and enhancing outcomes for millions of patients served by the PBM.
- • You will gain deep expertise in healthcare data standards, clinical vendor ecosystems, and GCP-native data engineering tools, positioning you as a specialist in healthcare data integration with opportunities to lead future architecture evolution and innovation initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- • 5+ years of experience in application development or package software implementation
- • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python as primary tools for building data pipelines
- • Expertise in GCP services including BigQuery (data modeling, partitioning, clustering), Cloud Composer (Airflow), and Dataflow (Apache Beam) for batch and stream processing
- • Ability to manage work direction, lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
- • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
