📋 Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer - Kernels and Workloads at d-Matrix, you will play a critical role in productizing the software stack for next-generation AI compute engines, directly enabling breakthroughs in generative AI performance and efficiency.
• You will develop, enhance, and maintain software kernels for AI hardware, map computational graphs from ML frameworks to underlying architectures, and collaborate with compiler, ML, systems, and hardware experts to optimize hardware-software co-design under tight development cycles.
• You will join a collaborative, inclusive team at d-Matrix that values humility, direct communication, and diverse perspectives, working in a hybrid model at the Belgrade office 3-5 days per week to push the boundaries of AI hardware and software innovation.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in hardware-software co-design, gain hands-on experience with AI accelerators and ML compilers, and contribute to scalable, high-performance software that powers the future of AI infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• MS in computer engineering, math, physics, or related field with 5+ years industry experience, or PhD with 1+ years industry experience
• Strong grasp of computer architecture, data structures, system software, and machine learning fundamentals
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python development in Linux environments using standard development tools
• Experience implementing algorithms for specialized hardware (FPGAs, DSPs, GPUs, AI accelerators) using libraries such as CUDA
• Experience implementing ML operators (GEMMs, Convolutions, BLAS, SIMD for softmax, layer norm, pooling, etc.)
• Experience with embedded SIMD vector processors such as Tensilica
